This is the Goat Locker.  It’s a bar for Chief Petty Officers.  I don’t really know what that is but its a Navy thing.  Sounds kind of demeaning because of the word petty like you are the chief of everything that means nothing, but it’s not true.  It’s nice being a chief petty officer from what i understand.

At the Goat Locker many of the members have their own mug.  This is Chief Petty Officer Fuckface’s favorite glass to pound brews with the other chiefs with.

Beautiful Guantanamo Bay

While we are goofing about and playing on the beach behind those green walls and barbed wire are alleged terrorists sitting around watching TV indefinitely without trial.  Some have been there 7 or 8 years.  Here on the base they are called the bad guys or hajis.   They are allowed to watch Al Jazeera TV, a right we are not afforded as us citizens.  Terror. Maybe they did it.  maybe they didn’t.  This is as close as we got to any of them.  Sorry its not a better photo but we were not allowed to take photos of the prisons so I had to snap it on the fly.

Our fearless guide Mike took us to lunch every day at the Windjammer restaurant.  Lunch and dinner were F-r-e-e for the band.  I think the guy to girl ratio on GITMO is 13-1 so mike is more than pleased to be posing here with the sergeants Jess and Laura, the keyboard players and singers of USA Express.

This is the floor mat at the entrance of the GITMO Galley.  This is where we ate breakfast.   Breakfast is all you can eat and is only $2.70. The only catch is breakfast ends at 8am.  Yow that’s early!

This is a coast guard shipped that docked at the base.  Every branch of the Military is represented here.  I heard the CG busted smugglers with 500 pounds of cocaine just a couple of weeks before they got there.  What do they do with it you think?  burn it?  Sink it?  Sell it?  no one I asked knew.
